The other idea is thatSince I started playing Dota, I've become completely immune to raging at my teammates. I mostly just try to tilt ragers with pick related on both teams and ignore mine until I can do whatever it is I can to win. I noticed that as a result of being immune to rage, I haven't really cared about League at all since I sperg out hard enough at Dota that I don't have the fucks to give League. How difficult her tentacles are to deal with in lane pretty much entirely depends on the match up, which can be pretty sad in blind pick.
"don't get hit :^)" is pretty much it though. Her tentacles are slow and her W and R are really short range, on a champ with no mobility outside of her 350 range targeted jump that's pretty significant.
What you said about being blitzcrank is pretty much true, the value she gets off of hitting E is incredibly high. Fortunately it's about as easy to side step as a Tahm Q. Unless she has a teammate to set things up for her, with her lack of mobility or CC avoiding it is manageable.
As far as actually killing her is concerned you have to rely on kiting or poke until she is low enough to be bursted.
