My main regret with Toy Freddy was that he didn't end up being "distinct" from Freddy in FNAF2. I sincerely wanted infighting amongst the two animatronic factions -- old vs. new with a sort of Toy Story "ahh I've been replaced" kind of thing -- and instead it's just a conga line through your office.
I'm definitely in the slim minority that liked FNAF2 but I definitely think it had a ton of wasted potential.

As the guy who originally started this shit, breasts can look pretty good when done right. A good example would be the picture Fansmut just posted. It's got tits, but it matches the rest of the design quite well and generally enhances the sex appeal of that character. On the other hand you've got something like oldshchool Tammy, who was basically, TITS: the robot. There was nothing to her other than her rack; she literally had the words "fun zone" written on them. As a result most viewed her as rather half-baked and pandering; basically the exact opposite of what we should want in an OC.

You're right, it isn't logical -- now that we know the actual lore.
Keep in mind we knew virtually nothing about the series' lore when FNAF1 was all we had to operate on. Even "the robots are haunted by dead kids" was unconfirmed. A lot of the OCfag related stuff back then didn't even buy into the concept and went with different approaches as to why the animatronics attack you.
Seeing the FNAF2 trailer, with the emphasis on the "dismantled" animatronics, it would have been interesting for a Toy Story approach with the older animatronics being angry at being replaced by the newer ones.
Plus, Scott's blurb for FNAF2 when it was on Greenlight mentioned the characters now had facial scanning systems and criminal database access, which led to a common (albeit now incorrect) theory regarding the use of the Freddy head and how it would only fool specific animatronics requiring strategy for its use.
Then FNAF2 turned out to be a clusterfuck of a game, sadly.

I still really enjoy 2. Yes, twelve animatronics gunning for you made it less spooky and more stressful, but I enjoyed that, plus the greater challenge from 1. My only big complaints are that the Toy Animatronics stop being relevant on days 3 and 4 and that there aren't many variations between their stalking patterns and methods.
