You have the "from the earth" thing where the ancient civilizations brought over Great Ones and then buried them, the "from the moon/sky" thing where Mensis had to go all out with crazy ritual and mind powers to sort of break the gaps of reality, but the "from the sea" is literally just a dead Great One washing up in some fishing hamlet without the need for any crazy ritual or mass sacrifice.
Yeah there's no hard rule on you summoning your cthulu to your dimension but the first two clearly required some form of mysticism and ritual to get that done.

no. there's one thing people always forget
STR and ARC scaling gems do not increase your visceral damage. people who switch from tempering to heavy lose visceral damage. SKL scaling gems, however, do increase visceral damage, since viscerals scale with SKL
so for a SKL build you actually get some additional value out of SKL scalings/tempering that an ARC build doesn't get. you get visceral 1-shots this way

in my limited amount of testing replacing an 24.8%/+15 arc gem with a 9%/+70 arc gem honestly made little difference either way. that was actually the point of the test, to show that my AR could go up (by about 20) but my damage go down (by like 2). the effect on the L2 was similarly pretty soft
however, it's really hard to get %arc/+flat gems in all 3 shots. the radials are a nightmare to farm, easily one of the worst gems in the game, far worse than colds. and if you use %phys then you are losing out on like 20% damage.
so i wouldn't use flats unless i had %arc flats, and i wouldn't bother to farm those flats. but it may be that there's some hilarious apex to the L2 if you have 3 such gems, or that you could make like a twink build with low arc using flats

imperfect flats (%phys) can be farmed very quickly from the right glyph. perfect flats (%arc) can take as much as 500+ brainsucker kills per radial. i only know one guy in /bbg/ who did it and he described it as the worst fucking thing in the entire game. i've killed several hundred and never seen one
cold abyssal radials, which are the best radials for parasite, come from pthumerian elder in the OP spreadsheet. i find pthumerian elder pretty easy and it's like 10-20 kills to get a good abyssal. if you savescum and know what you're doing i think it takes like an hour per abyssal, maybe 2 if you're unlucky. cold radials are super nice because they work for every element and are always really good, so you can use them on all your arcane weapons
decent arcane triangles drop all over isz. if you want a perfect arcane triangle (either from merciless watchers or ebrietas) it can take a while, but it's nowhere near as bad as brainsucker
gem farming for arcane builds is extensive but i honestly kind of find it comfy as long as you aren't trying to twink. if you're trying to twink it will be really hard

the problem is that arcane radials and crescents fucking suck. the abyssals aren't "perfect" compared to a 27% gem but there's literally no way to get good arcane radials/crescents except an insanely lucky offshape drop
every good arcane elemental radial is some kind of bullshit nightmare farm (i'm talking 500-1000 kills) except for cold abyssals

I've spent considerably more time with the saif than I have with the pick, so I guess bear that in mind. The saif has a wonderfully snappy moveset; the tf r1 and the utf transform both have the player jut forward rapidly. Combine that with wide sweeping attacks and you have a good way to catch dodgers and to inflict counter damage. The UTF also has very wide sweeping attacks, which allows for some cool positioning stuff. Tf kinda works like the utf saw cleaver or saw spear.
The tf church pick is very similar to tf burial blade, except moves come out more quickly, with slightly reduced reach, and at less stamina cost. Angles of attack are also less wonky (like the primary dash r1 on bb). I haven't spent too much time with the utf, nor have I run into pvpers who use it that much. Also, the church pick does primarily thrusting damage, so it can poop on kin.

Maybe "blessing" the village was just a way to get them to offer up to her a child for her to care for, the Orphan? So she sent her dead body from whatever depths it was nestled in to them.

Not necessarily. It would depend on how mad the people of Yharnam had become by then. Perhaps Kos' arrival happened by the time that the Choir was established, which would be long after Laurence had died and right around the time the Church Hunters would start being shunned because of the Choir's influence. Plus, the Choir wouldn't necessarily need Kos' parasites for their experiments; they'd have the phantasms in the Isz dungeons for that. They've got a clear enough connection (the "cosmos") for it to not matter that the phantasms and Kos' parasites come from different sources when they're essentially the same kind of beings.

I actually found the second form much easier.
Attack his sides. Back off when he starts shitting larva. Back off when he starts flailing his arms wildly. Its easier than you think to get close to him. You can also sprint away to heal and he can't get to you.

If you're stuck on Ludwig and are a Str build, use the Beast Claws. I'm 100% sure he's like Gacoigne and One Reborn, they just shred him to fucking pieces. This isn't Beast's Embrace either, I still have to try that.

if >=50 ARC, just spam gloves, blood bulleting, you should be able to do it just 24 bullets and 20 vials
if 50 BLT, attack the arms until second phase then bone ash repeater the head
if STR or STR/SKL, use hunter axe running transformed r2 then r1 after it lowers its head until dead. safest way, dont get greedy on 3rd phase, not all head lowering is long enough
alternatively use saw cleaver transformed r1 spam on the middle arm standing in the spot where it will spend most of the time just stomping
stay FAR away in 3rd phase
learn to dodge the jump attack
immediately run away if it starts drooling
arc defense doesnt matter in the fight
