Here's the thing I've been doing and wanted to share:
You guys should try starting a new game, and editing it so everyone's at max hate except from one bro you put at max like (not love, like). The bro's sociability and ability to interact with peoples, with his traits for example, will make him more or less of a difficulty slider. The more popular he is, the more he'll be able to help pull you along with him.
Makes for a pretty rough start, but if you just hang in there, everything will be fine very soon! This isn't a very hard challenge, or anything like that, but making the whole school come around can be fun and add something to the game I guess. You don't really need the bro, you can also try to be there when people are angry, or be there during group events, soon enough you'll have more than one ally.
Your ultimate goal? Befriend everyone in the class!
Love is okay too, but hatred, indifference or jealousy isn't! Once everyone thinks highly of you, you win.
HARD MODE: The bro is the only one that doesn't hate you, but he doesn't like you at first either. You can't interact with him until the second day nor skip a period the first day.
PLEASE DONT BECOME FRIENDS WITH ANYONE MODE: The 'bro' hates you too! Make his hatred at 30, rest at 0. You have no traits. You start with lowest at all stats.It works way better if you just download a premade class you know nothing about, good luck getting close to them!

Make sure you didn't accidentally push the key that turns off NPC to PC interaction. You can check if it's on or off by going into the Additional menu in Config.

Im starting with modding this game, and I got this ReiEdit. I have there more options for faces and all, but is there any way to actually see how it looks on the character?

It's a pain, but the best you can do for now is select the face you want to preview, give it to a character, and then quickly check in the maker what it looks like. It may seem a bit much, but there's only a good 20 unique faces anyway, and the rest are variations on those faces.

If you really want to go the extra mile to have them in the maker itself, you can replace vanilla faces if you want. But this should probably only be done once you've had a bit more experience with modding. It's fairly simple, but requires some use of AA2decrypt.

Just an update from before, I ran the wizzard as administrator and disabled avast, made sure there was enough room on the hdd and defragged it for good measure.
