I find the lore of the BEWD interesting. In the anime, it was held by a girl named Kisara who died protecting the one she loved from his father and then went on to serve him as a duel monsters card.
The OCG/TCG shows that if Kisara never went to Egypt she grows up to be a priestess with two knights protecting her and she learns to control the BEWD and merge with it to form Azure eyes silver dragon or Blue eyes Spirit Dragon.

As we can see here, a trap card being activated on the field is the last chain link (2), so you can definitely activate and chain a Burgesstoma's special summon effect.
CL1: Trap activation on the field
CL2: anything that's not a trap activation
In this situation, you cannot summon a Burgesstoma, since the last chain link is not a trap card activation on the field.
Reminder, for Burgesstoma to work the trap CARD must be activated. What do I mean by this? It means you can only activate Burgesstoma when the trap card is being flipped up (activation of card). Some Trap cards can activate their effects after they've been activated, you cannot activate Burgesstoma in this situation.
