Tree of Savior is a new action MMORPG with a lot of classes and cute hats. I'm a min/maxer so I never really think about putting utility class in my DPS-centered character.
We discussed this a lot around here, cata is shit, and there is a high chance that on further ranks of dragoon you'll get a skill that can't be used while mounted.

The extra 50 crit rate rate is worth about 42 points of Dex, that would be better put into Str. Putting 42 points into Str at rank 7 actually gives you 80 Str because of the 10% Str bonus per class rank. Anything you can do to get crit rate without Dex is a good thing, because Str increases faster. And if you're going to build for your final high rank class you might as well take good buffs from low rank classes, and Finestra is the best buff for spears and Deeds of Valor is good in general.

For grinding obviously, have you not played the game? You use taunt to pull everything to you then AoE them down. Mobs are spread out in a lot of maps so it's a great tool.

Well, in the case of changing to one hand to use swash buckling I understand, but besides that you're already implying that all dragon skills can be used with one handed spears, that I doubt, even so that in the trailer he used gae bolg, that probably can only be used with two handed spear.

I don't know barely shit on swordsmen as I've avoided them, but I'm considering a pelt over a linker for OBT as I want to be someone heavily useful to any party and core to party play.

lv10 is 1.3x INT, that is additional 50% damage from INT, it's x% increase so in future it will get stronger.

When you switch out of Spear to Rapier, you will lose Finestra. So you'd only benefit from Spear Lunge or Finestra, but not both at once.

1 beta maxed full int templeshooter abilty is enough to kill any pack of dungeon mobs and is an overkill if linked, you can use it every 30 seconds.
Leveling a barblander sure is fast, but I feel like I'm really mismatched for the class. Barbarian doesn't suit my playstyle at all so I'm going to reroll.

That leaves you to Scout.
and then at Rank 5, you have Rogue and Fletcher. I recommend going all the way to Rogue 2 at Rank 6 for Backstab.
With meme Karacha set, you can easily hit 40k per backstab. That is one hit kill on any person and you can use it twice with 10sec cd.

In addition, your shoggoth hits for 1300 (at level 1), you have the 5 skeletons hitting for ~900 each, and then corpse tower or flesh hoop depending on how your tastes roll. In ADDITION to all of that, you get decay on the shoggoth which is an insanely good debuff.
