No. Because working with an ally is fun. Working with a swarm of button mashers isn't. There's enough enemies in a map for two players to share and work together well. Once there's three, you're just a wirlwind of DPS and one of the three of you is just playing catchup at any given point.
Two summons is basically just admitting you're unbearably casual and need people to play the game for you. One summon means you like playing co-op games and care about having a fun time.
