Only experienced Admirals know how to use its ships just by looking at her rudder. Not him. BUT, the Kongou is amazingly good at dodging torpedos.. Had a ton of fun in CBT goading on enemy CVs whenever I was in my kongou, because if their torps were used on me.. they weren't used on my allies, and she could evade beautifully.

I have a tier 6 CV and it is my main squeeze. Just missed seeing the water while playing and know there are literal metrics fucktons of cruisers but not as many BB despite, if played right, are fantastically powerful ships.
I know how bullshit a CV can be but the raw amount of dipshits playing them means anyone who dies to them are also complete dogshit piss drinking retards. Even against lone CV. The bread and butta easy torp targets are an annoying target if they JUST TURN. If I sent 2 torp bombers out to a BB and he starting turning and showed he knew what he was doing I would send the 2nd squadron to the opposite side and then catch him in a criss cross whore he is forced to take 3-5 torps no matter what. They send 4 squadrons after me and only hit with a single torp.
I mean it isn't even isolated. I have NEVER been sunk or even significantly impacted by any CV so far as we're not even tier 6 when the massively popular CA line gets the FUCK EVERYTHING FLYING ability and makes torp running near impossible unless a ship peels from the group entirely. I know CV's can club seals like mad but the people who play them are fucking stupid as hell by and by.

Get to T8. By then, CVnts learned that they must target the side of the ship, not drop from the front. And at that point planes get a lot faster, but ships don't. So you see CVnt's stacking TB squads, performing tight single-direction runs that you won't be able to evade by turning because even if you turn into them and adjust constantly, they'll outmaneuver you anyway and drop right on your side.

It's pretty good, at least I like it more than wows and I've had access to the former since the early betas when the game was supposed to be at its best.
SO looks and runs shittier but it's just way meatier. More botes and subs, more research options and extra equipment for them, recruitable commanders, better control of guns, torpedoes and planes... it just has more oomph and I find it way more entertaining. You'll also be able to get one of each type of ship in like a couple hours so you are not stuck playing some shitty fishing boat for days in hopes of getting a fucking carrier or something.
Besides, if you are a huge faggot and like premium shit; the game gifts you double gold for your first purchase of each tier THEN gives you a chance to double that if you invest in a growth program that gives you gold as you unlock ship tiers. In total you can get like 60+ bucks worth of gold for 15 bux (plus you can win gold by playing too) so if you are a savvy costumer you can get a lot done with your first and only purchase.

Do the slavic suicide run, and blitz to within 2km or less of Kawachi's or South'ys. Youll nuke them without effort, and will probably survive the attempt. Otherwise, knife-fight any other DD's stupid enough to do so, and nuke them. St Louis, Dresden, and Tenryu's will eat you alive however, but you have little to fear from Chikuma's, or Chesters. Watch out for Tier 1 botes.

Is suffering. Your torps no longer do enough damage to nuke Myogi's or Wyomings, but you can still kill Kawachis or Southys. You can also nuke CV's pretty easily. Cruisers will eat you. Watch out for Clemsons.
However, by this time, you should realize that your guns are awesome. Use them, a lot.

The slav line is kind of shit until at least the Izy, but you don't really get the full experience until the Gnevny.
And I don't remember the AP for the low tiers, but AP is pretty useful in the Gnevny, I've killed many a cruiser with citpens because they were dumb enough to show their side to me and I was able to dodge and weave long enough to just slaughter them. BB's not as much, but I've had a few occasions where I've gotten some surprising damage out of plunging fire with AP.

Storo, get drunk and suicide rush battleships. You have shitty torps, but you have A LOT of them, and they will do massive amounts of damage if even half of them hit.
When driving a Storo (or a Derzki), your goal should be "find the biggest, most expensive, best playing ship on the enemy team - and delete him from existance by suicide rush." Your goal is to derive enjoyment from fucking up the day of some bastard on the enemy team. That should be hilarious for you, even if you don't survive it.

For the sheer amount and rate of shells you can throw out, it's pretty good. At >10km range, you can easily just fire off shell after shell with little worry because your small size and speed makes it hard to fire back. Combine that with smokescreen, and you can pretty much stealth fire any any ship that's not another DD.
It's especially annoying for BBs to be set on fire by something you can't even see.

firstly you are more resilient than it looks since you don't have a citadel, so shooting high caliber ap at you will result in over-penetrations and, what's the most important, you are a hard target, skimming at high speed at the edge of your gun range, it's much easier for you to shoot them than for them to land a shot at you, especially if they have high caliber slow reload main guns. btw it's why you are afraid of atlanta way more than of something like myoko, high caliber guns work poor vs dd
secondly you are not supposed to get focused/shot, let the enemy shoot others while you shoot them, shooting from the smoke if needed. you also choose most of your fights being faster and sneaker than them, so try to avoid dueling cruisers 1v1

Utter shit turret placement, horrible horrible shell arc, paper armor, slow as fuck, meh turning and horrible horrible shell arc, weak HE.
Don't even bother trying to hit anything on the side with it unless you're <6km, said shell arc just doesn't want to go any lower. HE is absolutely horrible, don't expect to actually do anything useful with it, even AP will do more against cruisers. You're never going to win a fight with any t3 cruiser, they can citpen you or just get more hits in faster. RU DDs do your job better, can cit pen cruisers better and have better speed.
If there's a candidate for the worst ship ever, it's easily the Karlsruhe.

I played WoWS since very early closed beta, tried SO, been having quite a bit of fun. Went back to WoWS and everything seemed slower.. And I kept trying to aim my torpedo's while expecting my guns to remain aimed where I left them. (And yes I know there is the CTRL X thing but.. got used to it naturally happening in SO)
