I wanted to try out playing Rance, specifically Sengoku Rance since that's what people are suggesting.
So I head out to the pastebin and went ahead and downloaded this version from nyaa

But I'm having trouble extracting it since the 2nd part is displaying an error of extracting even if I already extracted part 1

It's a split archive, you have to extract them together.

Because every game that has taken 6-8 months has actual reasons to have taken as long as it did. Imouto paradise lost its translator, KnS 2 took a long time to do programming, Gahkthun just finished editing last month, euphoria was mostly delayed because of clock-up. Free Friends had translator issues, and FF2 just isn't ported to Unity yet.
Look at Higurashi for an actual normal example of a release they have full control of. It took about 2-3 months after translation and editing completion for the newest episode to come out, and that was due to hacking and beta testing.
The reason I think Haruka will be out soon is that its at 90% editing so that will finish up in weeks after translation, and that hacking has been done since near the start of the project. There's nothing left other then maybe qc that would actually delay the project more then a few weeks before completion.
After that, its just find a release slot, and since Haruka is one of the only lengthy games that will be ready for release in January, and hits a completely different market then Supipara which is a steam release that will likely go in the middle of a month, I find it hard to believe it won't be out in January-February. That and MG will want it out sooner then later to start negotiating for the next Alicesoft title.

If the second part is in the same directory and has an appropriate name any smart program will automatically continue with the second part it you tell it to extract the first part. 7zip will do that, so either the names are fucked up or you are doing something wrong.

Finally something cool after Kenshin and Rick. She's pretty shit though. Compared to Lamika she has the same movement and range, takes more exp to level, has better physical def. and worse magical, has worse percentage things and gets 2 less attack (9vs11). I don't know if it's even worth it to level her at that point when she's that much weaker. I guess I'll just wait for Uruza for my long range attacker.

You'll want to use a walkthrough at some point but don't do it. You'll regret it after playing the game a few more times after that and you'll never be able to get the first time feeling again. Have lots of sex. You get bonuses with that. Your commander have stats. They are far more important than troop number, especially on normal difficulty. 6-7 attack/defense is fine for end-game character, everything more is overkill. Do dungeons. They're boring but it will make some parts of the game easier. Rance and Shibata are good end game material of the starter characters. Ranmaru's fine, the others are shit. Don't waste items and money on them. Maeda can become a monster if you use some satisfaction bonuses on him, though. Try to be at war with somebody all the time.
