Let me summarize Fallout 4's plot for you.
A neighborhood is let into a vault that has no reason to exist were it does that contains cryomachines that no one asks questions about. As a result, you're left unattended for hundreds of years and thaw out even though it shouldn't and you watch The Institute, which no one really knows why they exist, kill your recently thawed and weakened wife rather than simply take your son and refreeze her for later use. Your pod refreezes even though the lack of maintenence means it shouldn't and you miraculoulsy get an unthawing that shouldn't have happened while everyone else is dead. Later you find your way to a city that shouldn't exist in a baseball field that would have been better used in any other way than the way they're using it. You find out the Institute has been kidnapping people that didn't need to eb kidnapped to replace them with complete copies of people down to the cell that don't do anything except be that person. From there you have to join one of 4 factions: The Institute that shouldn't exist that kidnapped your son and put him in charge; the Brotherhood, that shouldn't be here in great force, that wants to kill everything that isn't a member; the Railroad, who wish for nothing more than the destruction of the place that creates the synthetic life they praise; or the Minutemen that shouldn't exist after their past failures.
At the Battle of Bunker Hill, everyone had the same goal: bring peace to the Commonwealth. Due to this overwhelming consensus, we were obligated to fight a massive war. Finally, the faction you joined won and defeated the other groups, leaving you with the option to kill your already dying son or nuke Boston, which was of no benefit to anyone, especially you.

To be fair though, the Brotherhood in Lost Hills and San Francisco had a lot more on their plates than the DC group as of Fallout 4. Though, the reasoning behind why all synths had to be destroyed, rather than say, just destroying the place that manufactures them and confiscating the tech is a bit preposterous. There doesn't seem to be any indication The Institute was capable or wanted to replace all humans in the Commonwealth, and it was obvious that there were 'good' synths like Danse or Nick.

Most people are going to tell you the two-shot one thanks to RADS resistance on certain mobs.
However go take the weapons out and shoot at a wall or some enemies at various ranges.
People forget that the two-shot modifier fucks with your weapon accuracy even though it doesn't touch the "listed" stat.
It's great on some guns but on others it makes your weapon borderline unusable.

Heavy guns don't really come into play until later, and the same goes for decent melee weapons. So you're gonna be up close and personal with most enemies and have shit weapons.

At least Caesar's plan makes a modicum of sense, as brutal as they are. The BoS storyline is essentially "gib tech now" and by raiding Boston univited, they're somehow... helping humanity? By stealing everything? Maxson is a complete asshole, as flawed as the DC Brotherhood was it was slightly better than what it is now. And of course the Mojave Brotherhood is just shit in every way, acting all high and mighty despite getting getting their shit pushed in by the NCR. Their former leader was an absolute madman, their current one is a coward, and you can support a coup but the guy is just an opportunistic asshole. I can't think of a single redeeming quality of the BoS.

Thing is, I really want to like the Brotherhood, and the were an interesting light side to the Enclave of being a 'pre-war military successor', but it's like they want every other settlement and civilisation, no matter how good or bad, to just be stuck in the dust, forever unable to pull themselves out of the dirt.

It basically explains the experiment with vault 81, that it was actually two vaults, one developing diseases and cures, with 3 phases of testing. Petrei dish, live animals, and then the unaware vault dwellers in the other vault who knew nothing about the second vault developing the diseases and cures. She literally uses the same AI the Mr. Handy does, so she will run in to melee range to engage in combat regardless if you give her melee weapons or not. If she only has a gun, she'll fist fight until she can grab a melee weapon off the ground.

I don't think FO2 fans can really complain though, the game was such a huge divergence from 1 in a aesthetic and tone itsel. The humor in 2 and NV was pretty cringey, humor/pop culture references is the one writing thing Obsidian can't do well, also they added more modern (as in our timeline modern) weaponry. Eventually this would get out of control in BoS which is part of why that game is so disliked.

Why is the BoS destroying technology instead of hoarding it? Even if they think that AI/Synths are heretic, why wouldn't they let their scribes study all the other technologies in the Institute so they could have supreme technological superiority by implementing the technology in their weapons and armours and bunkers? And to who are they sending a message by destroying the Institute? To the raiders? The dumb Super-Mutants? Diamond City that lives in scrap-houses?
And if the person couldn't be re-cryo'd, how did the main character got re-cryo'd again? And why did the main character got uncryo'd the first time?
After the ending of the Institute, you are head of it now, but that is it, nothing happens. It is like the game is froze in time because it doesn't go anywhere.

Close, but the actual problem is that she doesn't a "default weapon" like Piper's 10mm etc.
As such, she will use any weapon you give her - provided that you ALSO give her the ammo to use that weapon.
Once she runs dry she will begin fist-fighting because she has no "follower-weapon" with unlimited ammo to fall back on.
Just make sure she's stocked up on ammo for her gun and you'll be all set.

I don't know man, I'm a massive NV fanboy and I've really enjoyed 4.
There's some dumb stuff but the overall world and the gameplay is pretty good and I've genuinely enjoyed exploring the Commonwealth. I think NV has stuff going for it that it does better but 4 is good in it's own right.

I enjoyed it to the extent of having a new wasteland to wander around and explore. That part is fun, the settings are varied enough and the gunplay is much improved so if you like adventuring on your own you'll have a good time.
Anything story-related is abysmal though, there are a handful of interesting characters in a sea of bland nobodies. Factions are all retarded. There are no choices or options on how to solve quests differently, you just get railroaded through any story you start. There are no skill checks so your SPECIAL points don't really matter. Since there are no choices at all in the story (except for which faction you join) you don't get a slideshow ending describing how you changed the world.
It's good for one playthrough but I seriously doubt you'll want to replay it.
Is there anything happening at Trinity Tower when the vertibirds are circling it? I've already saved Rex and Strong and I Kind of want to investigate but I also don't want to spend all that time going through it to find nothing.

It's just that though - a generic laser rifle. She doesn't have a follower weapon or the hidden perk / mod that gives it unlimited ammo.
If you make sure she has ammo to use weapons in her inventory then she uses it.
I was stuck with her brawling like a savage until I began checking up on her to make sure she always had ammo.

Did the game bugged out for me or do outfits equipped by followers and settlers aren't showing in their inventories? So if i equip someone with a suit and he or she had a dress equipped at the time the suit wouldn disappear from their inventory but the dress would reappear. This doesn't affect leyered armor. I could swear that wasn't the case like 3 hours ago.

Soo after being told twice here that my 6850 1GB will play Fo4 it turns out it really struggles when loading enemies and new areas and my FPS drops to 1 - 5 its 60 Fps everywhere else. I dont care enough about this travesty of a game to continue trying to make it work.

Fair enough, don't get me wrong, I use a two-shot weapon that I've had for ages and it serves me well.
It's just comparing two-shot with any other mod at the moment in /fog/ is a loaded question because most people don't realize how bad it fucks up your accuracy / spread.
I've got an armor-piercing .44 that's been hitting consistently harder than its two-shot counterpart purely because I'm missing the second shot (and sometimes the first) in many situations outside of point-blank range.
