to elaborate on the previous anon, as long as you have the charm, it doesn't matter what potential level the item in your backpack is, as long as it's 1 or higher.
As in, you can use the extended and +30'd weapons to unlock the charm for each character, and as long as each character hold another vraolet or MKB with at least potential 1 in their item packs, it'll still work as if they're level 3.

Hardly can become new automate when it requires offense to trigger and won't work on singular enemies. The only problem really is freed points and the exact placement of the skill in the tree, which might as well be behind some point buffed flash guard skills. It's hard to just graphically make a new tree for me. Point balance is usually easy to adjust

Now it just means that the instant you get knocked off your feet you can get back and it would take probably like 3 points. Actually not. Guilty Break still has the advantage in damage and the time it takes especially for grabbable enemies. I also didn't say to make the distance comparable to GB. Guilty Break at max gear level is actually one of the best gap closers in the game. It's just bad for things like TA dashing. Sacbite can just make you be able to climb some enemies more easily and do air combat on things like Magatsu. It might as well be a short teleport 1.5 step away up and 1.5 step forward and it would be useful.

everybody gets automate as sub because it's too useful not to have, only idiots bother with iron will. the only other choice is maxing both SATK up 2 and 3.
if you're removing automate because you hate the concept I can tell you having the pp restore skill from ranger on hunter is not any better. the only difference is they'll die in falz/magatsu. automate users still die anyways if they don't manage their hp.

But the whole point is the concept of absorption is better. Killing 10 enemies to recover your entire HP is harder than stuffing your face with trimate automatically. That's still 10 points and people might consider not taking it especially if bundled with flash guards. And many cool guys don't take automate cause it's for fags and rangers.

if you remove guard stance, you're removing GS, GSUP, GSA. All they have to choose from then is the skills you mentioned. how is this any different from before, except having 3 more pts (no GS req for FG) and less to choose from? there's no guard stance at all, now it's just fury, or fury - some fury tree for defense. that's not improving, that's just removing. that's easily comparable to what we have now. not to mention guard stance players exist.

It's not about improving the choice in the skill tree as much as improving the overall playstyle. My changes are just to make the Hunter's current playstyle choices play better mostly or remove the GAY ones.

Who says it? Sword is at the moment a universal weapon pretty much. It's powerful at mobbing, has mediocre damage that gets boosted by the PP effectiveness for bosses, and doesn't rely on any unreliable gimmicks. Charge PAs allow first PA start up from the air so it still does pretty nicely on small air combat. Making Sacrifice Bite enable Swords to play like Daggers lite still without many important tools and limited by being unable to really use charged PAs is just a natural evolution of the weapon for everything role.
