It's bad, but it isn't useless. Say you've got no bombs, you've explored the floor, and there's a tinted rock. That's a situation you might use Kamikaze for. Kamikaze can blow up tinted rocks, open up secret rooms, and does 40 damage.
The bean deals 21 damage + 5 over time, but to actually use it, you need to be extremely close to an enemy, which means you're at a much higher risk of taking damage.
Even butter bean is more useful than the bean, since if you're being cornered, you can use it to give yourself extra time.

Except if you have very low damage, explosive tears is a damage down in the fact that it delays your damage.
Here have an example :

He's a fucking inverse Blue Baby. Blue Baby is Isaac after he suffocated in the Chest, and the Keeper is Isaac after he hung himself in the secret room.
Blue Baby can only have spirit hearts, making active play more dangerous and making devil rooms more risky, and the Keeper can only have red hearts/coins, and each container is halved, making active play more dangerous and making devil rooms more risky.

Greed mode is super boring, but desu I wasn't really excited by this mode even before release. It's kind of like an easy mode if you wanna test some items.
New tems are ok, the patches ruining things like box of friends are not.
Lilith is super cool, Keeper is super bad.
Blue wonb and Hush feels like a scam really. New alt floors are cosmetic at best.

It's not hard in the slightest. I could beat him with The Lost + Holy Mantle with literally 0 trouble.
It's just boring. Every playthrough is the exact same, and this is a game that's mainly popular BECAUSE every playthrough is different.
In other news,
Taurus, speed down, but you get a Chariot effect and over time speed up,
is completely fucking useless in Greed mode. It doesn't even trigger in the main rooms. So it's a Speed Down, no bonus.
