I looked into fodders last week and just a little while ago, I still need the money. I've been recommended Modulator+Flict Arma fodders among other things, but this stuff is like 4 mil+ a pop. And none of it even for a 100% chance, what do you suppose I do if I fail, as my luck would probably have it? If I'm not just looking for the wrong thing here, this seems like insanity.

Alright so this is what I was shown. The chances are pretty high and maybe I'll be willing to risk it, I'll probably end up at least nailing it on two of my units. But it's the flict stuff that's just expensive as hell.

But most of it is over a mil, with two of the Flict ones being 2mil and 3mil. And there's no way I can buy for all three of my units at once, there's like one cheaper unit and then everything below it tends to be much more expensive.

No you idiot. ATTACK IS EVERYTHING. Attack is the requirement for your units, the rest is for your convenience. You can add your dex to your attack number but only if your are using crafted or Invade and only if you aren't dex capping already.

The most interesting fodders in my storage are a 3-slot and a 4-slot with Power III/Stamina III/Spirita III. I have about as much luck with unit drops as with weapons, and if any of this player ID RNG stuff is legit I'm screwed if I wanna try and farm Saikis or something.

Because the key of every fight is to deal enough damage. Generally you can say stupid shit like more hp will let me survive better so it means I do more damage but it isn't true in every fight or for every class while having more attack always mean more damage. To keep it short attack is good for everyone and always, things like hp and pp might not benefit you depending on the playstyle and due to really fast revives and heals their benefits are mostly limited to being convenient for you, on top of the fact that PP crafts are godlike.
You can get 160PP with great Saiki without anything affixed on units.

If you're affixing Ideal, a sort of cheap way at the expense of your PP would be the Cougar/vin/mutation I way. They are frequently together, & last time I saw them on ship 4, they were 200k each. The only expensive one would be to get the ability III fodder or to make it yourself. I remember them being 1.2M at one point already made.
It'd be like 2.3M per unit if you buy the ability III fodder, including affix tax. You can add anga soul to the 5th slot to increase vinculum success rate, but that also raises the affix tax by 500k + anga cost.

You need a unit with App Soul, a Soul Receptor and a pow3 and a fever. All preferably 3s or higher or I dunno what prices you have. Cram in a vol souls or more pow 3 for higher chances.

Vinc transfer caps at 50% with three fodders for it. Anga soul boosts transfer by 10% so with that 40% affix booster: It's 100% across the board.
The reason why Power III, Shoot III and Tech III are on there is to boost Ability III transfer since that's what is needed to make that affix.

This is what discourages me from slotting. Like, affixes don't win fights in this game, attacking as much as you can and evading expertly is, as well as awareness of your surroundings when it comes to TDs, which are the only EQs I've ever seen people fail.
It's also hit me why I like having HP, and that's because sometimes you'll want to be cross-countering with a super-armored move instead of evading each time, like when PD launches those energy orbs with his other hand on the stage, or in any case where the weak point is right in front of you and it seems necessary to take a hit to get your own in. Defenses aren't just a crutch, you miss a lot of opportunities in that second it takes to JG or evade.
