The only thing we've got this year now is Xenoblade X, which does look fun, but also incredibly lengthy. They had Super Mario Maker, but that was two months ago.
I heard there's still some games that haven't been announced, like a Twilight Princess HD, but it seems strange to me that there are games that have gone unannounced. In any case, DLC, like, you know, for Smash, would be some sort of incentive. A big game update, a new mode, to commemorate the ballot winner or something.
How do I get more consistent? I feel like I have really good peaks and can beat all the best players at my locals but at the same time I feel like I can lose to nobodies.
I'm already a good player I feel but I'm just bad at being consistent which causes me to lose more than I'd like.

It does, without a mainstream new Smash game to keep the bloodline alive Melee would struggle a bit. For the game to stay alive it needs to get new players and Sm4sh is helping that. Its not hard to set up Dolphin.

Turn off all explosives cause they can spawn on you.
That includes all containers.
I personally turn off kukoos and beehives for personal taste and master balls to give more randomness to the poke balls, but you don't have to when it's your turn to choose the items.

Learn how to catch the gyro, and keep it in your hands.
Most R.O.B. players panic when their gyro gets taken (it's a extremely important part of R.O.B.'s playstyle)
If you want to get good, mastering item play is necessary.
learn how to do aerials while holding items, get good at JC tossing etc
Laser only comes out once every 3 seconds, and many people do laser > gyro or gyro > laser
Just predict when they're gonna do it and powershield.
But all of this is easier said than done.

OoS is just up b which is pretty strong and eventually kills, but can be outspaced and punished. Kill setups mostly include jab 1>fsmash and fair offstage>b reversed up b (not sure how true that is though). Dancing Blade up variant and up throw both eventually kill if you're really struggling. Or you could play Marth and flick the c-stick when they're in tipper range and kill at 40% if you want.

I was all over PM from 1.0 all thru 3.5, but after Apex 2015 didn't have it, and nintendo were kinda jerks about it, it lost alot of hype for me and those around me, then it just kinda faded away and we went back to Melee. Why is everybody so fun in V? Seriously I can't pick one. They haven't even finished announcing characters, Dhalsim looks fun as hell as well. If I really had to pick one with gun pointed on head, so far the one I liked to play the most with is Rainbow Mika, but really everybody else was also great. What else do they have to add in V that it has to release in Spring, give already.

Because they're actually trying to make every character play somewhat different from each other like changing Nash into a motion character or making Mika not shit. Kinda sucks that most normals for everyone have messed up hitboxes and frame data and Dhalsim looking to be terrible to zone with and I hope the beta allows them to make the right changes to make the game better before it comes out
