They will never buff the actual rates permanently. They might do something like increasing the rates for a select few days for your first roll. So you get like 1 roll with double rare rates a day for 3 days (christmas, first and second christmas holiday)
With everyone complaining about Extra's combat not making sense or being too hard, I decided to replay it from the start on a fresh save. Tamamo from the start, I can't see many commands since I don't have any NG+ data going on.
Still haven't died once; this combat system just makes sense to me still. Its not that hard to figure out when someone is going to use what or guess their patterns.
Its just stuff like AAGGAA or BBABBA
Also being able to use items and the first dungeon basically being a training dungeon means there's no way you should really have a hard time here figuring out patterns or the system in general.
Being able to use items alone means you can't claim you were taken by surprise, since you do have options to throw out in the middle of battle if you're unsure. The game is all about being able to read the opponent and commit a few steps ahead.

With these types of mobile games, they plan for people to play about five minutes a day basically. You have AP that runs out because they don't want you playing for too long at a time, so that you'll come back later, and not run out of content too fast.

I honestly believe that Gawain being written as the broken piece of shit he was was because Nasu never intended him to have a role in anything besides Extra. He was built up to be the final boss of that specific game, so the writing worked to make him out as an absurd threat. But the truth is in the greater scale of Type-Moon he's just not very dangerous. He's roughly Seibah's equal, but his Avalon equipment only has a specific, daily time in which it can be used. He just doesn't stack up but the writing's backed them into a corner about him being stronk.

When BB fought Gawain and Leo she thought Gawain was nothing special (because she's way too powerful) because he was as strong as Karna (who gave his armor to Jinako, a shit Master and doesn't have most of his stuff), so she was surprised when he managed to stall her for a minute.
Gawain and Leo (the best Master there is on the moon excluding endgame Hakuno) is on par with Karna + Jinako.

Even without Numeral of the Saint, he's basically Arthuria in terms of stats and abilities, except with far less trouble firing off Excalibur.
If you think Saber was strong at all in F/SN, even with Shirou master, then you already know why Gawain is powerful.
He doesn't need Numeral to be powerful, without Numeral he's still Saber tier. Numeral just puts him in broken tier a bit when its active.
He's no strongest servant or anything, but its not hard to see why he's strong. Even without his version of Avalon, he's still an all out power house with Excalibur clone and skills said to rival Arthur in battle.
He's a decent to high tier servant in any normal war even without Numeral, but then you factor in Numeral and he was considered unbeatable tier in Extra, until they shut down the sun during his fight.
