The only scenario where it's advantageous is if you're going into a fight with low HP. Remember that your damage taken medals are based on a snapshot of your current HP (not max HP) the first time you enter. Using a mithril to revive doesn't reset the snapshot. So if you need to conserve medals, that's an option.
Better yet, save your mithril for something fun, and just use gems, kupo. Then you can rest between every sub-dungeon, kupo.

There was a rumor going around for a while that triple pulls had better luck than single pulls. Sure enough, some friends and I all had pretty solid luck doing triple pulls when they first came out. But the magic has since faded. So now I just do 11x pulls.
I'm still firmly convinced that 100 gem pulls have better luck than everything else, though. Dirty jewgles are like, "Come on, goy. Just try it. The first hit is always free, kupo."

the survival would be pointless because no matter how well honed your abilities are you are going to last only a handful of consecutives battles, let me explain:
- If you make a "pit of 100 trials" sort of dungeon with 100 floors of one battle each (like Kain'sdungeon in the FFIV realm) by defacto RM Mana Spring II and its WM and Summoning equivalents became GOAT and mandatory, so exp will be easy to farm until the point they mix Mag resistant with Out of reach enemies. This is the most stable kind of dungeon.
- if you do a dungeon consisting in only one floor will X number of fights you are going to became dependant on potions and ether to keep plying because even if you are max honed they will run out leaving you with a bunch of mages who can't fight for his life anf reta users who can't suppor their teamates after 10 or 20 battles...

How is the three man event quest supposed to be doable? I gave it a go with Cloud, Lightning and Garnet with the advance + retaliate setup. Getting to the boss is fine, but then I get wrecked as even though Coud is equipped with a Blazefire Saber he only hits for 4000 on the shoulders. With only two other characters and a need to heal, it's not enough to get those down before advance runs out.

The new quests are on relatively low difficulty elite stages. If you haven't cleared them yet, it may be worthwhile to do so, especially if you have FFVI characters that need grinding. Group heal SBs like Vanille's have a cool utility right now, especially for Dark Bahamut and Ogopogo, but ultimately Banner 1 with Wyrmfang and Skycutter are second fiddle to Banner 2 with Vegas because Boon is going to be a meta SB until Quistis's SSB comes, and Deprotega is still useful after VIT0 got patched out -- not to mention Snow's SB has a good chance of inflicting the Dismissal effect.
If you're like meHope anon hereand like certain characters, Banner 1 is that kind of banner. Banner 2 is for people who enjoy having utility more.

Final Fantasy 15 will be the biggest flop ever in gaming. I think it's high time people realize that. Insiders are already talking about how bad the story is and Final Fantasy versus 13 could have been the greatest Final Fantasy game ever made.
Changing the story, the main foundation of a RPG game so late in development should have alarmed people. We will be getting disorganized and awful game, wouldn't be surprised if 15 is delayed again (which is inevitable).

Square Enix are trying to erase Final Fantasy versus 13 (which could have been the greatest Final Fantasy of all time, it would ripped Final Fantasy 7 a new asshole). Story was linked to Type 0 and Noctis and Stella being reincarnation of Machina and Rem... But who cares about that anyway.
After all, Versus 13's story only has branching storylines, time travel, a female AND male MC (Stella and Norths have separate storylines), a story focused on relationships (the darkest in any Final Fantasy) and choices that affect the story.
Scrapping Versus 13 and recycling it to shitty 15 is the stupidest decision Square Enix have ever made. The writing is on the wrong, you guys never heard of Bungie's Destiny? Scrapping its story 2 years before it was released? What happened to it? It was shit?
Good luck with 15, because it will be the flop of 2015.

Not quite there yet. Then again I was only at 90 during orbfest and finally got Vivi's MC so I'm not complaining. I've only got a handful of dungeons with 2 stam shards left though so that last stretch is going to take a lot longer.
