Why don't game developers release their games on all platforms, i mean, more platforms-more players-more sales.
why aren't they doing this? do they hate money?

It's part of the reason Mighty Number 9 is taking so dang long.

The builds can work, but there's something going on with the quality of the builds and how the multiplayer is going. Check Pirate bay for leaked builds.

Because that increases the development costs
Also because platforms usually offer them deals if they do exclusivity too, probably
>>
Most do nowadays, what are you talking about?

The only exception is PC because execs still think everyone on PC just pirates, but most of them are starting to come around. Remember circa 2007 when devs would keep making shitty excuses for not porting to PC, like "our game was meant to be played on a comfy couch, with a controller in your hands", when really they meant "our publisher said no PC version because they're a bunch of criminal scum".

There's only a few non-first/second party games that are exclusive now because developing multiplat is so easy.

more sales outweigh the development costs
>>
Sometimes the port job aint worth the effort, sometimes the game wouldnt be possible without the console manufacturer so they get exclusivity

You don't know shit about developing clearly
>Make game that bombs for all plats
>GREAT DECISION GENIUS

Prove it.

Isn't AMD already working on that? They probably got the tech and software to do it, it's a matter of people using it to develop games.
>>

>specific company foots development costs (Bayonetta 2, Bloodborne)
>game made to take advantage of platform-specific hardware (Wonderful 101, Gravity Rush)
>don't want to risk increased development cost if game doesn't sell well
>can't work around hardware architecture in specific platforms
>company policies make specific ports undesirable (XBLA application process, MS refusing online multiplayer compatibility with Sony)
>>
>>337597014
Many just don't have the manpower to do this.

This, pretty much. Especially for the previous generation, cell architecture and motion controls made the PS3 and the Wii entirely different beasts to program for. Having slashed development costs for exclusivity isn't a bad deal usually as while sales might be much lower, there's a lower workload than developing for all platforms and increased funding from the dealmaker

This is wrong for many reasons, but the primary reason will always be money now is always worth more than money in the future.

And that's for money guaranteed. Prospective money is so much less worth it it's not even funny. Which is why companies flounder around trying to chase whatever seems biggest at the moment.
