Loving the game so far. Went for Mammon first because I liked her attitude. I was surprised at how kind she could be and she was a lot cuter than I as expecting.
Man, losing her to Trillion kinda hurt.
Now I'm on my second overlord. I went for Perpell since I assumed I would care about her exactly none.
After playing the game with her for a while, I want a daughter exactly like her. She's also doing a fucking amazing job against Trillion. If she had enough affection points/MP then she could just spam Lv3 Cannon Spike until Trillion falls over and dies.
Seriously, once you part seal the tail then the Solid Mind passive skill is amazing. Moving via skills doesn't count as moving so all you need to do is use skills like Charge or Flame Dragon to dodge the odd attack while bashing the tail to pieces.
I suspect this is probably why Trillion started spamming Big Jump until it crossed the defense line, because I was basically cheesing the battle.
So I still have Perpell and another 3 cycles to train her. I don't wanna lose her but I have a feeling I have to let her get eaten by Trillion next round, simply because Trillion eats way too much of the Underworld when it crosses the line.
Is this game even winnable on a first playthrough? I feel like I'm doing good but I also feel like I'm never going to be able to actually beat Trillion. Maybe if I had more time or characters or something but as it stands I can't see how it's possible.

Have you tried Final Sprint? It fucks your stats, but they seem to keep boosting infinitely. I would imagine the damage you do would be really good once it gets going. I've done good work with a 200% Solid Mind and 999 ATK.

I'm too scared to use my Affection Points for anything other than movement or Thunder Ray because of how often you need to move to avoid Trillion huge AOEs.

I knew Solid Mind had a cap so I assumed everything would too. If Final Sprint doesn't have a cap then I can see it being pretty useful!
I operate under the assumption that Trillion is basically going to kill you anyway, so it's best to do as much damage as quickly as possible before you bite the dust.
That's probably why I've been building everyone to be glass cannons. The only stats I boost are attack/magic and speed. All other EXP points go into skills. Also, a huge focus on getting everyone to 100% affection. I'm basically using affection points as a substitute for defence/mana so I can shove all my points elsewhere.
It's.... working? It's probably not the smartest method but it seems to do work well (assuming I don't get hit)

my first girl got to the point of hitting for ~20B after retreating twice and getting extra training time, then got yet more training time after the form changes
So with Final Sprint, Solid Mind and enough affection, preferably Multi-Attack at least Lv2 and optionally a range/pierce seal -- final form will go down
may need a bit of resetting to get stuff if unlucky though, but the fights aren't so bad

and don't recall even reached the 2nd layer, got a bit eaten during the retreat but during the form changes just goes to sleep right away
