Reinhardt might be able to kill a thirsty tracer by swinging in circles, if she doesn't back off. Blink and recall are the bane of mercys. not always. It's not that way for Widow. certain characters are designed to work better at different ranges and are designed to mitigate that risk

They all have some chance for surviving a reaper ambush. Mei has the best chance with her ice block into ice wall bullshit. Pharah can blast off completely safe from reaper. Soldier needs to sprint away and FAST. Tracer if she isn't already dead, must react fast enough and blink/recall away. Genji needs to deflect or double jump slash to get away. Mind you reaper has the upperhand.

Soldier and pharah are not exclusively close range characters. There mobilty does NOT make them invincible. Mei is not an offense character. Genji and tracer true though, but we are talking about a reaper ambush. His damage is pretty high, so reaction time and the tick rate have the best chance of screwing you over.

I changed my go-to support from Mercy to Lucio because of this shit. Nigga's surprisingly tanky with that passive regen and near impossible to kill if pushing the payload.
