If you fight every trainer, you wind up over levelled for the E4, and Labor doesn't up the anti.

HGSS are shit. The romhack, Sacred Heart Gold, and whatever Silver got is how the game is meant to be played.

They didn't fix the level curve and didn't increase levels of trainers. They also didn't expand Kanto's content in anyway way even though this was the prime oppurtunity where they could have made Kanto like they envisioned but couldn't due to limitations.

Remixed music is not on par with the remixed music present in Fire Red and Leaf Green.

GB Sounds music not literally the GB sounds.

Obtuse gym leader rematches.

As for what went right: Seafoam Islands and Viridian Forest not gimped like in the originals.

My cousin played through gsc after fucking up his cart steamrolled through the whole game in 5 hours with just his starter typhlosion. You can't knock the remake for sticking to it's roots.

Still mad over how they handled this shit. Picked up a used Black 2 with Challenge Mode unlocked and started a new game because why the fuck would the unlocked difficulties be deleted? Turns out I was wrong and now I'm steamrolling starter only to unlock it again. I predict Battle animations, Text Speed, and Shift/Set will eventually be forced-to-trade options too if B2/W2's difficulty system was made by a group of actual people that all agreed it was a good idea.

Most people agree it is the best Pokemon game made so far. It takes all the best elements from every generation before it, implements the greatest generation's metagame and absolves itself from the newest garbage yet.

It has the best story, gameplay, map and experience and you can make any team from all the pokemon and transfer them in. Battles, contests, gyms, trainers, elite, all of it.
