There was this one loop in dishonored when opening some kind of menu (either start/esc menu or the upgrade menu) it was some kind of wobble but very subtle. I think the big issue with Genesis was composers trying to use their hardware to sound more like "real music" rather than working with the weaknesses. Composers for SNES didn't seem to do that as much.
The best analogy I can think of (which isn't a very good one anyway) is someone trying to write flute music with a piccolo. Even if you are an amazing musician, the end result will be a little wonky.

Snes sound chip destroys genesis. Genesis used fm synthesis so its essentially just notch filtering. Sony's chip was a real digital to analog chip which could do live audio ie tales and star ocean. It also had post processing like delay/reverb, portissimo, along with panning and such. Essentially if you expand the cartridge you could do CD quality audio. The only decent genesis sound chip was first gen. Its retarded if anybody thinks otherwise
