Keep in mind SnS has horrible range. Monsters like zinogre can be KO'd easily by Hammer uppercuts while SnS has to nibble at his ankles until zinogre topples.
Using exhaust coating will also mean you aren't using affinity coating which will hurt your DPS.
And finally SnS has an awful aerial style that totally gimps its moveset as well as preventing it from using its great arts.
SnS is really good but it's not going to be out KOing a hammer user and out mounting an aerial hammer user without sacrificing damage and utility.
