Just another reason Controllers >>> Computer setup.
>>
>>345427268
You've got that the wrong way around, controllers are never set correctly.
>>
>>345427268
This is a pretty lame shitpost
>>
>>345427302
This, I just set the dpi on my mouse then everything works fine, if I want to up sensitivity on a controller I gotta do it on each game individually
>>
I always have to turn up the speed on controllers. Its like they don't want anyone to hit anything. Artificial difficulty.
>>
>>345427461
This.
>>
>>345427268
you don't change sensitivity on your controller? damn you must move the camera slow as hell
>>
>>345427461
Sony branded consoles and controllers don't have this issue. The company maintains great relations with any developers planning to release a game on their products and really goes all out about synchronizing their products with games so there's never a hardware issue. More companies should really follow their lead. Nintendo tries (at least you would think) but at the end of the day they only care about selling a gimmick and force developers to begrudgingly adapt or die. It's why developers of non-Nintendo-IP games notoriously hate or flake out on Nintendo. They don't have a great relationship with game creators. Sony cares.
>>
>>345428461
I hear Sony actually sends tech experts at their own expense to make sure games work flawlessly on their system. They even do it for indie developers. How cool of them!
>>
>>345428658
Yeah. Just one of the many reasons I will be a Sony fanboy until I die. If you're a gamer there's no other option.
>>
>>345428707
I'm with you there. With their exclusives coming up I finally got a PS4. Best decision I ever made.

Good bait though, you'll get a lot of (You)'s like my own. I just wanted to throw my word in, just in case you really are this stupid.

Sorry but I incidentally lost my "bait" folder.

>Sniper/aiming segment in a game

>>
>>345427268
>Consoles
Auto-aim intensity and prevalence encompasses almost all FPS games
>PC
optional extra at best, generally disabled because human aiming and leading provides the superior experience

3rd Person games absolutely controller winrar
>>
>>345431371
Developers who give a shit include things like auto-aim and know how to code functionality into games. The ones who don't are the ones who say "hey you do it" because they're too fucking lazy to figure out the sweet spots.

>>
>>345433380
So you want the developer to play the game for you?
>>
>>345433495
If you're a bad developer then the concept of "one size fits all" is impenetrable to you. Sensitivity settings and similar options are signs that there was no grand unifying scheme for the functionality of the product. Steve Jobs should have taught these punk developers a thing or two about what makes a game and a product meant to be consumed by the masses flawless.

Ah yes, you see, some fags are billy the kid, and others are lemmy the scrub, so sensitivity is never correct either on pc or console.

That's not even true in the slightest. When I played the RE7 demo I had to fiddle around with sensitivity and acceleration so I could properly navigate and avoid being super sluggish.

Mouse is always set to 800DPI and sensitivity settings are merely multipliers of that so you can fine adjust more easily depending on the game you play.
>tfw sensitivity setting only shows a bar instead of numbers

Zowie FK1 at 800dpi on a 1080p screen is literally perfect for me.

800 dpi is not a speed, but a sensor sensibility option, I don't like huge mats and slow speed and I use that one.

I bet you faggot use 12k dpi and when your mouse gets overloaded and fails out of the speed you are trying to force it to do, you believe you're at a decent sens.
>>
>>345434127

I'm a top 1% SC2 player and this dpi is by far the best for me, since it allows you to flick to the screen edges to scroll or box stuff quickly, while still being able to do precise micro.

Speaking of Controllers and KB+M.

Why the fuck devs almost never give option to set sensitivity on controllers?

For what fucking purpose? I've seen literally ONE GAME that had that option.
>>
>play with controller
>get shot

>>345435289
Wow, that's pretty extreme. I mean I prefer KB+M but I wouldn't shoot a guys for disagreeing with that.

A mouse is like an axe, a controller like a fish. Even if you can chop a tree down with the fish, it doesn't make it a better tool at chopping down trees.

Sticks cannot be perfect because the cursor is rate-controlled. If you turn the sensitivity up, it will be too fast. You simply don't have enough control over the cursor speed to aim properly
>>
>>345427268
idiot there are 2 different types of input:

direct and relative

go fuck your self now you cant compare it directly. like keyboard and wii mote
>>
>>345438370
You can compare them though, because they're being used for the same games
>>
>>345438453
i said "directly",but yes you can compare whatever you like in teh internet
>>
>>345427268
A controller and a mouse have their own pros and cons. Mouse is good for its precision and fast aiming, it's great for fps games. Controllers are very good at driving/racing games and platformers because of the dual sticks. None of them are more superior than the other.
>>
>>345438521
I don't understand what you mean by that
>stick makes the camera move at a certain speed towards where you want it to be
>mouse lets you move the camera directly to the spot where you need it, as fast as the DPI allows
How is that not comparable? Controller is worse for everything but racing
>>
>>345427268
Riddle me this. Why do controllers have auto aim built in?
>>
>>345427268
Controllers are perfectly calibrated for people with learning disabilities.

I'm sorry OP.
>>
>>345434325

Pretty much this ...800dpi really hits the sweet spot for me. 800dpi isnĀ“t even low ~400-450 is.
Honestly I feel everything above 1600 is overkill.
>>
>>345438158
Not with that attitude.
