I agree and Pot is honestly among the worst in this regard because Buster does retarded levels of damage. It does not much less than Zangief's CA does in SFV and it's a fucking regular special move and has way more range and utility.
I've always hated Potemkin in part because Arc Systems Works styled fighting games with few frames of animation are especially shitty when it comes to DPs and anti airs. Potemkin can Buster grab you from insanely far away because hitboxes on certain frames are so awkwardly designed and unintuitive. The best examples I can think of are Dusts in Xrd. You can grab someone like May while she is in the air (visually) swinging on the side furthest away from you AND while you are far away from where she would be while swinging toward you.
I think that's why Tager had to be nerfed pretty much immediately after he became good. Developers aren't willing to make the command grabs not do retarded damage so the characters have to forever be gimped, and rightfully so
