Gameplay wise it's a fucking joke after Dark Brain (who had 2 forms and like 3 times the HP this guy had). Plus final stage gives everyone +20 morale, Dark Brain's stage had no benefit

you have to take into consideration that the last few minutes of the game are spent fighting this boss so you're expecting something good, plus almost the entirety of chapter 12 builds up to this boss with the facility rumbling/screams of the hive mind echoing before you go to face it
pair those two together along with it being a really easy fight (it was pretty cool though, i won't lie), and you've got an easy recipe for a disappointing final boss

I thought it was one of the toughest Final Bosses (in FF), he sometimes spams his special attack consecutively and it's basically a Malboro's bad breath+high destructive power (shit like Petrify, Death, Zombie, Heat and MANY others all at the same time in your party), also he tends also attack with a multi-hit magic IMMEDIATELY after the special attack even if you already selected a action between his attacks, if your characters are weak then now they're dead.

The game was already boring and bad enough filled with completely stupid out of place sections (like the entire inside of the worm sections) and it all fucking culminates in this final boss. you see this huge fucking thing grow right in front of you and then you fight it by jumping in a helicopter and pressing your trigger three times.

Most of the bosses of this games were simply put at the end of a level, you knew they were here cause they were always one. They had no build up except the fact that you knew you were getting to the end of a level.
This motherfucker had the best build up in the game. I was excited about fighting him, he was supposed to be the strongest shit ever, messing with forces even greater than a fucking Apocalypse Horseman.
It took me one try, that I fucked up so much that I had to use some pots to survive, but that was it, using some pots, keep hitting him like a retard, and win. No strategy needed, or anything remarkable. Nothing, just go and hit, and when you get low use a pot.
I had never been so disappointed in a video game. Darksiders series still is one of my fav tho.
