Violetta makes him run faster and gives him violent memories of murdering and eating people with the Fiends
Lupa makes him more durable and gives him memories of being a Legion mongrel, which mesh well with his own memories of the LegionLupa, obviously

Not really. At no point does anyone suggest that removing Rex's brain removes Rex from the body. It's all "Rex will become more..." or "Rex gained the memories of..."

he used to be Caesar's dog, talk to Antony while you have Rex with you. he says that Caesar used to have a cyber dog that got lost on the battlefield one day. what Antony doesn't notice is the red bull logo on Rex's hip. so Lupa would be the best brain canonically, and better defense is also good for a companion who doesn't have any weapons.

The whole point of giving him the legion brain was to roleplay realisticly, right? Because any other brain wouldn't be right unless it was in your headcanon.
Then why would you break the game just to do the quest as intended? Forcing yourself in an area by fucking up a quest just to get to do another quest right makes 0 sense and defeats the very purpose of roleplaying by doing the quest legit.
Just add it with console, imbecile.
