Who else feels that Crash 1's 100% linear progression was better than the "5 sets of 5 levels that can be done in any order" style of 2&3?
It actually felt like you were going somewhere and making progress, Crash 2 and 3 could have had 5 or 50 levels and the it wouldn't alter the structure of the game. Crash 1 actually felt like you were traversing the islands, and going from comfy beaches to spooky temples to ugly factories and finally an evil castle.
2 had much better gameplay, but I liked the presentation of 1 more.

Nah 2 was the best jn all the ways including being semi non linear and also the fact it had a hidden warp room was awesome
