Anon, based on what the devs want to do wouldn't UE4 be more expensive in the long run with the royalties they'd have to pay for each game released? Sure, UE4 would be cheaper for a game or two, but if all goes well they'd make more than that. Not to mention being able to hopefully improve their engine while already knowing the ins and outs could be a plus.

I did mention improving what they have now. Yeah, knowing their own engine's ins and outs is a huge plus and they can definitely build on that. Reminds me of how Platinum works with their engine.

now that actual streams of seasoned kof players trying it out on EVO got released, the game looks solid as fuck.
ramon and angel are super loyal to their 2k2 versions, the new characters look easy to pick up and fun (pillow kid, alice, kukri, butler).
the VAs have tons of soul put into them (angel), the music is great and the stage backgrounds still keep the charm of realistic world travel that kof portraits.
people better support this, it certainly deserves more appreciation than Beta Fighter V.
