What's the best AVGN episode and why is it Plumbers Don't Wear Ties?
IMHO the best AVGN episodes are his system reviews which are both informative and funny. Sword Quest video is also good for this reason.
I think most of us can agree about Toxic Crusader video being one of the worst ones but what do you guys think is the most disappointing AVGN video? I think the Game Glitches video was a great idea but executed poorly and the less said about the glitch gremlin character the better.

Captain Planet and the Planeteers for the NES is my pick. For those who don't know it's genuinely terribad game that really does not get enough shit despite having insanely cheap insta-kills at every corner, very nervous controls during the stages you control vehicles where slightest movement causes your vehicle to move very fast and very far in stages that require very, very small and careful movements and a clever system that makes sure when you run out your more you will never be able to get any more to fight your enemies with.
Also there is a tolerable Captain Planet game for the Genesis/Megadrive and the show to talk about so making an entertaining episodes about Captain Planet games wouldn't be too hard as far as finding thinks to talk about is concerned, do I even need to mention the "heart" power?
Oh wait, what am I thinking, Captain Planet and the Planeteers for the NES wasn't published by LJN so AVGN would actually have to come up with new content instead of relying about his usual LJN rants.

He was at his best when he was reviewing games that were mediocre/subpar, but were still somewhat popular because they were based on a licensed property/part of a popular series/promoted heavily in Nintendo Power, etc. The kind of game you would rent for a weekend or get for your birthday and be severely disappointed, but you kept playing it because it was all you had. It was easier to relate to, and because they were games he was experienced with it was more authentic.
Now every video feels forced and starts out like, "Ok, time to put on my angry face!", and doing whatever notoriously bad games people suggest in the comments, because it was "le ebin XD" when Jontron or somebody else already did it.
