The reason MissingNo corrupts Hall of Fame data is because the garbage sprite data that the game pulls out and attempts to decompress is so huge that it overflows from the designated sprite decompression buffer in the SRAM and over into the Hall of Fame data which comes right after that decompression buffer. Know what you're talking about, have done it. Basically the collision detection in the stone cave where you're supposed to finish Anju and Kafei's side quest is all wacky, and it's possible to just roll through the crack. This triggers the sequence even if you didn't do any of the rest of the quest, putting you at the same time of day it's supposed to happen and everything. Equip Link with a mask (say, the bunny hood), then when you're controlling Kafei, open your inventory and switch that mask with Fierce Deity. When control returns to Link the game will default to making Link wear it and start the transformation sequence.
I never noticed any clipping problems but if you talk to any small NPCs like the Bombers, the game will get stuck on a blank dialogue box.

Smash Bros on 3DS even does this trick in a way. When the game's running, everyone uses lower polygon models. When it's paused, the game switches in the higher polygon count ones.

Look up hidden owl glitch in majoras mask.
Basically, there's an owl statue in MM that spawns in west clock town. The statue appears to be located in south clock town, but walking towards it changes the area and loads the actual statue. This is the reason why the statue looks deactivated when you look at it from west clock town, even if you already activated it.
By bombchu hovering, you can activate it. If you activate it without activating any other owl statue, you can use it to warp basically anywhere.
