Because it's popular, the /v/ guild failed hard, the content is too similar beyond the first 20-40 hours or so, the main plot twist is legit retarded, the community isn't a bunch of cynical neets and it's fun.
Because it's thematically different from the rest of the series; the only criticisms /v/ can come up with all boil down to "it's boring," which is worthless because of its subjectivity

PC has a ton of games from the 90s and 2000s similar to it. I loved the large boss fights and pawn system but most of the combat and story and world were just so boring
