Mediocre at best. The combat has its charm but the rest of the game is just dreadful.

Very large, very average

I played it years after its release, I knew the story and idea behind it going in.

And I honestly really got that 'love letter to WoW' feeling. The world, story, characters and what not weren't much to write home about but together they made a really tidy package.

Pretty okay game. Played rogue and the mist/dagger flurry thing was just insane. Big monsters would flinch every X damage but your damage was so high they were stunlocked. The problem was that you could hit them with multiple projectiles. Same with the bow skill allowing you to shoot multiple arrow.s Move in melee range and rip them up. I completed the whole left continent, including every side quest. However when I finally pushed to the right side I never felt like continuing. Maybe shouldve gone for at least the main quest.

The story itself had loads of potential. Imagine being the only person breaking fate and everyone else is fucked. You would expect that every person would beg on their knees to prevent whatever disaster awaits them. Instead you do stupid quests that doesnt take the whole fate thing into account. Only the main quest features it. Fucking up that ogre when it was doomed to fuck the city up is what made it great. Running around killing shit isnt.

Also the map had some gorgeous moments. The starting forest looked slick as fuck. The plants opening up as you came close to them was sweet as hell everytime it happened. Some villages were 100% comfy. The huge tree in the south was pure eyeporn and the huge water plane in the north was sweet as well.

Overal it is really nice idea but the offline MMO feel+shaky combat really hold it back.

A really long ass fucking game with a shit ton of side quests. Took me a week to get through.

Within reason though, since the game was going to be a MMO.

I like that almost every npc has their own semi fleshed out stories.
Hell half the Npc's have character specific dialog that changes if you somehow find there sister or something on the other side of the map.
The Innkeeper in Ayten deserves to be whisked off her feet and shown the world.
