Don't get me wrong, I really loved many aspects of ME2. The game itself, as in the main quest and entire core story reasons for what's going on was just so fucking weak. The characters were still pretty good, despite obvious weak links like Miranda and Jacob. It just has more strikes than hits for me as a whole. I didn't even finish ME3. I lost all motivation to bother about halfway through.
I was just "this is what I've been waiting for since the end of ME1? This is the Reaper doomsday?" It was so disappointing that I have no intention of ever finishing it. Shitty thing is, I didn't even get to the ending that everyone hated so much. I gave up long before that.
Now I generally pretend that ME1 is a standalone game.
