I think I managed to beat all others with the buster after much suffering, but I never managed to get past Chameleon. For some reason the simple fact that boss weapons could be effective against other bosses didn't cross my mind.
Then again what was I at the time, five? I just wasn't smart enough for simple vidya logic like this yet.
