If you have to be sold on 120fps, you don't need 120fps

144Hz will likely be the next standard, at least for 1080p displays. I'm talking 5 years from now at least, but for games 144Hz feels incredible if the latency is perfect.

120hz and 144hz is worth it purely so you wont have to rely on v-sync to prevent tearing when you go over 60fps. There are no games I'd play at 120+fps however.

nigga, there are more people with 1440p monitors than 120hz, let alone 144hz and 1440p is the definition of a meme monitor. It won't be a standard, because the only legit use 120hz or 144hz monitors get is high level competitive gaming, those who "need" it yet can't at least pubstomp are high grade retards. Sure it's nice to have 120/144 fps gaming, but the power requirement for those in most modern games is simply too much

Games like CS:GO are pretty feasible to run at 60+ framerates with most hardware, but I really don't care for the game. Going above 60fps in singleplayer games is a complete meme however, and you're much better off using your pc's horsepower to tune the graphics settings higher.
