Good taste

How boring of a person do you have to be to have Tetris as your favorite game?
>>345176228
Spot the kid who had a 360 as his first console.
>>345174902
Axis wasn't the worst thing ever, really good especially now that its super cheap on the e-shop, but Ultimate is actually garbage. I got it day one and new I fucked up
But DS is still the best handheld puzzle game IMO, all those modes, all that music, those visuals... I literally had a day where when I had free time, I would continue an endless marathon game, and got to level 999+. Shit was fun, and never got boring
>>345176228
Admittedly I know its not the most interesting game, but Tetris has always had a lot of meaning to me, being the first game I ever played on the original Game Boy my mom gave to me. We would play it in tandem, and beat each others' high scores and what not, and when DS came out, I actually saved up money so I could buy it. Its just a really solid entry with a surprising amount of content for a simple puzzle game, homie
>>345176278
Is it you?
>>345176457
Tetris on Gameboy was my first game as well, alongside Kirby's Dreamland. It holds a special place in my heart.
>>345172431
Why did tetris become so casualized? Now it tells you 6 next pieces? Not only that it seems it's programmed so you always get a different piece (since they are all different). I remember Tetris & Dr Mario on snes you could get the same fucking piece like 5+ times in a row, now that shit was rad.
>>345176457
Fair enough. I'm sorry I called you boring, anon.
>>345176708
No, it's okay, I should have made myself clearer, no hard feelings, here *hugs**kiss*
>>345176603
>alongside Kirby's Dreamland
A nigga of my own heart
>>345176708
I forgive you
>>345176606
>Now it tells you 6 next pieces?
I actually find this good because casual players never consider their next piece, and then hardcore players can do some super autistic analysis and really set up some good shit. If you really want some fuckery concerning piece randomization though, I heavily recommend you play some of the weirder spinoffs, like Disney Magical Tetris for N64, that game is only vs mode, and it is so fucking nuts
>>345177118
Kirby was the shit. As a kid I never tried extra mode. Finally got around to it and God damn
>>345177118
You mean Magical Tetris Challenge?
>>345177585
Yeah, never got really into it, but played it on an emulator in a hotel with some friends before. By the end of the week we were pros, but having prior Tetris experience helped
>>345173157
See
>>345172718
Either this or Katamarior tetris
>>345176318
DS really is the best. Puyo Tetris is okay, but the speed on the endless mode stops at level 15. It's so stupid. I didn't know there was another one on the eshop, I'll have to look into that.
>>345172431
i just love beating the shit out of this guy, never gets old
and its a great game on top of that
I can't even decide what my favorite game is. Maybe SH 2 or 4. Maybe La-Mulana, maybe Fallout.
I'm also really fond of Blood and Quest for Glory.
>>345172476
>DarkTrip2
It's like you're a parody of yourself
>>345172431
I don't think it's the greatest game ever made, but my favorite game ever is Golden Sun 2.
Cave Story
this desu senpai
10/10 gameplay, tons of replayability via a sandbox mode and character routes, and dozens of interesting characters
no other strategy game can top it
>>345180396
Also, really good art, paired with sex scenes never hurt anyone
Here's mine. I'll also rate some of the games here for the sake of following the topic, though only the ones I've tried out...
>>345172431
While I understand its historical value, I find it quite overrated. The multiplayer versions are incredibly fun though, but still... 7/10
>>345172761
Huh, a PPL fan. I usually see more fans of the SNES version but I find the N64 version to be superior mechanics-wise. The presentation's a bit iffy as a tradeoff though. But hey, I consider Tetris Attack to be the best Puzzle series, more thanPuzzle Bobble10/10
>>345173941
Still haven't finished it, but I find this series absolutely fun despite not being a fan of futuristic settings. A bit hard to understand at first though, so I'm guilty of having used a guide to understand the stats better. 9/10
>>345176024
Better art style, music, and setting than the GC version. Also, I find this to be the superior version despite the lack of content. RIP, you were a good series in your roots... 9/10
>>345176206
Eh, I prefer Yoshi's Island and SMB3 more. Never found anything special about this game honestly. 6/10
>>345179639
God, I never finished CS3D's Hell on Hard. I still suffer PTSD just from that part alone. Hope I recover one day so I can brag about surviving such an ardous RNG fest... great game though. 8/10
Earthbound/mother 2
>>345182075
>an ardous RNG fest
In the 2D versions at least, the only real problematic RNG part of Hell imo is the falling blocks really, and it just takes practice to avoid. I haven't played CS3D in ages because my 3DS battery got fucked so I don't remember any additions they might have made.
I usually stick to the Steam version as I feel it's the best, though it has a single broken achievement that Nicalis refuses to fix after 5 whole years.
this feels like a /mu/ thread
>>345183078
>the only real problematic RNG part of Hell imo is the falling blocks really
Precisely the only part that I just can't stomach going through on Hard. Whether I decide to run or stay and fight, it doesn't matter, they always get me since there are no energy tanks whatsoever except for a few life boosts that I can't recall where to get and there's no RL either... obviously Hell's a different story on Normal and I don't really have much trouble with said part on that mode.
>>345180396
>oh hey an h-game that's recommended how good can it be
>am treated to a delightful array of over the top characters a nice combat and turn system and I guess some dicking too.
9/10 would even recommend to people who do not care of the dicking.
come at me.
