Its a shame but it was pretty low key even in its stand-alone release, can't see them reasonably doing competent netplay for a game of such small scale.
It would be nice if this wasn't the last time we saw this though, I wouldn't mind more Kirby fightan. If the planets align I could see it developing its own identity, not traditional but not smash-clone either, but still worth playing seriously.
However even if they go further I doubt they'd ever make it that deep or hard to play on virtue of being Kirby

I imagine they could've just toned down the i-frames of each move instead of making them completely non-existent so you don't get hit out of everything. Oh well, it's still a really fun game.Also, me on the right.

Not sure if some still have them, but the extent to which you can abuse i-frames in regular Kirby would be pretty broken I feel
Dodge is basically a useless function when you have a damaging, invincible dash attack that's easier to recover from. But the dash attacks work fine against Kirbies without i-frames since it hitstuns them and pushes them along, there's no contact damage like on bosses, etc. It does get messy with more than 2 players though and everyone getting canceled out

Well, I'm thinking of Shoryukens and the like, where you get maybe 7 frames of invincible start-up or something. Not an entire move that's fully invincible.

Well that's basically all the attack i-frames in the regular games, so its the point of reference when it comes to the changes in i-frames

Beam is best in the game next to Fighter. Beam blast is spam able, causes hitsun and knockback which makes its difficult to approach. And any ability with a grab is not shit in Fighters (sans Ninja which is complete garbage).
