It was somewhat enjoyable, as a friend started it with me about a year ago.
Then, just as we were really starting to get into it, we hit the point where we got gimped exp.
We could both deal with getting less rewards as standard for not subscribing, but holding back exp was some fucking bullshit.
He quit the game at that point, but I felt there was more I could do.
So I travelled to a planet recommended for players 5 levels higher than me and made a friend with a random guy, fifty levels higher, who was just there to help people new to the game.
We partied up so that he could deal with most of the enemies so that I could catch up to the point where my character would have been, was I not forced into getting far less experience than someone paying for the game.
We soon found out that I got literally zero experience because I was too LOW a level.
After 3 hours of trying everything we could think of, the high ranking sith lord and I parted ways and I stopped playing.

It depends. Assuming you're talking for the main character, it depends on whether you would've ultimately gotten the Implant feats.
The Scout has better Skills and Saving Throws, and if you got through to level 8, breaks even with the Soldier for Feats. So, in general, the Scout is always better.
That said, if you're the sort to only dip minimally into a class, the Soldier's Power Attack is unquestionably better than the Scout's Flurry, and two levels of Soldier are better than two levels of Scout.
Always remember: Power Attack >>> Critical Strike > Flurry. Don't buy into the memes shitters try and sell you with muh extra attack.

Don't be a cuck and learn how to build your character then. Besides, the Power Attack build is only -2 less to hit. If you're missing every attack with Power Attack, you were probably missing every attack with Flurry too, and that means the one attack that might've landed from either would still have made Power Attack better.
Master Speed + Power Attack + Dual Wield = 4 attacks x 10 damage = +40 damage
Flurry is 5 attacks x1 damage. Your fifth attack has to do 40+ damage to just break even. That's near impossible to attain with what's available in game.

Don't listen to this moron, he is just trying to troll you. Power attack is objectively the worst of the three attacks. Flurry is best with force powers with critical strike a close second. Power attack is just useless. It's meant to be used to quickly finish of weak enemies, but you will eventually have things like force lightning to quickly kill off groups of weak enemies all at once. Or you can just use grenades if you don't have any AoE force powers. Either way there is never a reason to use power attack. That is why in speed runs you go flurry and completely ignore power attack.
I wish there were more opportunities in both games to go full manipulative jew. 2 was better for this but I get sick of Edge McMaster every time. I just want to bend people to my will while making bank

You understand that mathematically, Power Attack has been proven the best, right? I mean this has been discussed on games forums for years and years and every single time, Power Attack proves out.

Don't go Consular / Sith Lord. The Dark Side Mastery for both is +50 Force Points, but for some reason they don't stack with themselves.
Personally, I find the Sentinel's innate immunity to Fear, Stun and Paralysis to be a lot more useful for a caster / lightning build. And the Sentinel's Dark Side Mastery buff of +3 Dexterity WILL stack with the Sith Lord's +50 Force Points. It never hurts to have a bit more AC and attack.

Consular
10 in everything, throw fucking everything else into Wisdom with a bit in charisma too. Get persuade, awareness and whatever else. Grab lightning whenever available and party wide buffs too. Insanity is also super high on the list. Bring Kreia with you always and you will be fucking unstoppable from a pretty early level.
Remember, the more wisdom, the harder it is to resist your force powers and the more points you get.

The diminishing returns makes min/maxing a poor bet.
Take this build for example:
STR 10, DEX 14, CON 12, INT 14, WIS 14, CHA 14 - 78 points.
vs a min/maxed build:
STR 8, DEX 9, CON 8, INT 8, WIS 18, CHA 17 - 68 points.
You lost out on about 10 stat points total. For a +3 DC, you've lost out with a permanent -1 damage, -3 AC, -3 Hit, 2HP/lvl, several skill points, -2 Fortitude, -3 Reflex.
Now you definitely should put your points into Wisdom and Charisma, but you'll get a lot more out of a balanced build. It might seem like little things like AC and HP won't matter on a nuker, but they really do. And a small investment early pays massive dividends later.

Consular is a mistake if you're going Sith Lord. Guardian Dark Side Mastery just increases melee damage, but the +3 Dexterity works really well with the balanced build. Remember, your Dexterity will also determine your effectiveness at blaster deflection.
So, running through a bunch of old fav games right now. Was brought on by technomancer (basically kotor) and always loved this style of game.
Just cleared alpha protocol, in the middle of jade empire, and vtm:b is next. Staying away from da:o for now, because I've spent too much time in their over the years.

Honestly that's the easiest build in the game. All you do is max wisdom/charisma and a bunch of darkside powers, most importantly force lightning. When you get force storm you're just going to be breezing through the game one-shotting rooms full of enemies. Then by the time you get force crush it's so much overkill it's almost sad
