I think most NWN2 modules have better combat encounters. NWN1 has easier tools to work with so it's the go to one for writers first, developers second.

I dunno? Most of them? TES games always end with characters being the same warrior-thief-mage demigods.
I could spend hours customizing my party in Icewind Dale. Shitload of interesting pieces of equipment helped.

Probably Planescape Torment since it's deeper than an ancient evil has awoken. Though I thought Fallout 1 was highly original too.

Stat and ability based customization, I guess Dues Ex for all the different augs you can customize yourself with. For armor and looks, I dunno maybe Dragon Age Origins.
