Medic is by far my favorite class in TF2, but I just can't get into Mercy in OW for some reason. Its practically the same healing style, but she can fly, leap to people, and boost damage with the same weapon. I guess Uber really makes the difference.

If you haven't played Awesomenauts in a long time you should try it again. They just added this guy and he's the king of kicking ass while secret servicing your allies at the same time.
His basic attack is essentially a shotgun, he has the Contra-style equivalent of Puck's phase shift, and a heal/damage laser that lets you swap your target if you latch them.

Right, I'm not disagreeing. I think it's the technicality of TF2 that gives the mercs so much edge over the OW cast.
Engie could easily get a level three and then spam rescue ranger shots at his sentry to keep it up in a fight. He's also got a lot of survivability with the recall.
However neither of them are designed to fight engie to engie/ torb to torb.
They're meant to shred squishies.Though Phara could never counter Engie's turrets, and she's supposed to be the turret's hard counter.

Sounds like someone who hardly ever used the vaccinator, the crit resist bug was handy, but if you were smart with your charges you didn't really need it much. While they got rid of that bug, they put in a change that made it worthwhile, before crits and even mini crits would absorb all your charges, now charges completely block crits without eating charges. It's all about gitting gud and learning to anticipate and pop charges.
