That wasn't what it was though. The problem with EA Battlefront is that its grossly simplified, no actual vehicle or weapon spawns, any of the interesting game modes are pretty much a minority, and almost all the guns in the game feel and operate the same.
Unless of course you were a good little goyim who paid extra and preordered the limited edition version of the game before it came out with that bullshit DL-44 pistol that basically lets you overpower people for $10 bucks.
But back to my main point: its simplified, it doesn't even play like the former Battlefront games or even proper Battlefield ones at that, lot of the game mechanics are garbage and dumbed down, most of the non deathmatch game modes are deserted and dead, several maps favor one faction over the other, and the heroes are stupid OP while animations look shit. I mean just watch any videos of Luke vs Vader with the top QUALITY animation Dice put into it.

BB isn't a bad game in its own rite if you look past the awful humor, terrible voice lines, massive ass HUD and weaponry, (insert more stuff I can't recall here)
It's just still not a good game. And despite some issues, Overmeme is a good game. And thus, irrelevant of what was tied to each, people wanted OW more because it's the better hero shooter.
BB has some fans, just like SMNC still does, but generally, there's next to nobody and most of them gave up trying to prove it's "playable."
