Assault rifles and snipers were still OP after DC. Shotguns still next to useless. Pretty much all the dungeons up until Damonta are a real slog that discourages replay ability and right after that is a big difficulty spike that can fuck you over if you haven't been min maxing your party. The energy weapon mechanic is unique but feels like an evolutionary dead end and most battles play out like XCOM lite skirmishes. I'm nitpicking at this point but it's got a ton of warts for an overall good game.

Those who played the original knew what they were in for and mostly enjoyed it.

Only negativ I can think of are those randome shops in the Director's Cut who just throw the balance all over board.
Loved everything else about the game. From the music, atmosphere and the writing, especially the writing.
