I think Sony has the rights to Draken at this point so I don't think a patched up Steam version would happen.

Shit is so good, game world is so massive. I mean shit this game came out in 99, compare that to other games from that time and tell me this shit is not impressive as hell.

Even the PS2 only sequel is good but it's smaller in scope and a little more action than the more exploration driven first game

>>344951252
A bunch of fuck ups. Their founder (Maliken) was a retard who raged and flamed everyone ingame, banned people who disagreed with him, buffed/nerfed shit that he liked/dislike, etc. Then there was the F2P switch when Dota 2 stole all its players, and it had a pretty shitty business model, with early access to OP heroes to people who paid money. I think since then they abandoned it and began working on their next MOBA, Strife, which was DoA. There was a lot of mismanagement and retarded decisions made on that game, but it was still pretty fun, though I'll always remember the retards who manage the company.

Yes it is, I mean I got no issue with KB&M but I've tried to turn others onto it and they are not into the idea of a 50hr long RPG with KB&M.

Even I wish it had gamepad support if only to sit back on my comfy sofa and my surround sound setup to play a little. Granted I know you got those boards for KB&M to be used on a sofa but at that point i'll just move back to the desk

>>
>>344951897
He probably does. He is the founder of S2 after all. Still, as long as the game turns out well, it should be fine, and I have hopes that they're turning the company around. The nature of HoN, being pretty much a Dota port, was why they did so many dumb decisions and mistakes, but Savage is something they already know and created, so there are less chances for them to screw shit up.

There's a reason not many people have played it: The real ending is DLC, the game is like 50% cutscenes and QTE's, and the actual gameplay is shallow and reptitive.

But, in terms of presentation, art design, music, characters (both design, voice acting, and personality/writing), the story, the just sheer stupidity of how over the top it is, it's an absolute spectacle.

You like over the top action anime? How does DBZ x god of war X g gundam x Gurren lagann sound? The game is absolutely fucking absurd and it will take you on the wildest god damn ride if you can apperciate it as an interactive anime rather then a game.

The game starts out with you jumping off a spaceship in the middle of a massive battle, hurtling through the eart's atmosphere, and bunching a monster the size of north america in the face, and that's not even in the top 5 most insane things that happen in the game. It's probably not even in the top 10.

Seriously,, just watch it on youtube at least if you don't want to play it, that's what I did, and here I am 600$ out from buying every artbook I can find for it and fawning over it on an imageboard

Oh good, one of these.

Obscure, or ObsCure if you're a weirdo. Best Resident Evil clone I've played, made by the French.

Great levels, fantastic soundtrack, terrible art direction, controls actually pretty well. Has fixed camera angles but no tank controls, so you're pretty flighty.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TGlPR48Ins

Just one caveat: there's this dumbass co-op mechanic. You don't have to use it. Just stick to a character, leave the rest back at the hub outside of the like, 2 places where you need a second pair of hands to reach a vent or something.

Also on Steam. Use a gamepad.

A; I really fucking loved it. It was like I was 7 years old again discovered DBZ for the first time. It's easily in my top 3 games of all time despite the fact I haven't even played the damn thing just based on how much fun I had watching it, Hell, I might have even liked it less if I had to slog through the gameplay, which nobody has praised.

B: the game has an absurd amount of artbooks. There's one that comes with the limited edition, there's a dgital one that comes in a steelbook, there's a "official perfect works" that is the only one with an english release, and then there's 8 behind the scene magazines. There's also 2 manga volumes.

Essentially, capcom thought this would be a huge new IP for them and is why Megaman legends 3 got cancelled, to put funding into this, but the game bombed super hard.

/v/ knows about this game, but I rarely see it mentioned anywhere else. I'd also like to mention Gunman Chronicles.
>>
>>344955648
It's made by the same guys who made Twisted Metal and it plays like a mix of that and SSX/SSX3 or Tony Hawks Undergound
.
It's also really loose in terms of realism, especially for a sports game, which is a main source of the games awesomeness.

I've hit a ramp at the same time I hit a speed boost power-up and jumped over a helicopter hovering ~150 feet in the air while doing 17 front flips and 23 other tricks all at the same time, then landed without a hitch from a 200 foot fall, and then pegged the 2 racers ahead of me with heat-seeking water bottles I got as a reward for the tricks for instant kills putting me squarely in first place.

In terms of speed, you can go from 0 to 60 mph in under a few seconds and there's a ton of power-ups that speed you along as well.

The maps are extremely vertical with a ton of alternate routes as well a "black diamond" challenge routes that give you points as long as you're on them. They're all loosely based on real life locations too.
There's a Volcano in Hawaii where you can ride in lava, a Siberian Military Base, etc.

The characters are all stereotypes like in SSX. You got a rich British ponce, big Samoan brawler guy, thrill-seeking American base-jumper, etc.

There's a ton of unlockables too like real life BMX racers and even a Sci-Fi movie monster. You can also unlock Sheep and Llama's to ride in place of a bike.

Check out this video

Aidyn Chronicles: The First Mage. It released very late in the N64's cycle, looked like shit even at the time, and the gameplay was plodding. But the worldbuilding, story, characters were all fantastic - I really wish it had been done as an isometric game in the style of Baldur's Gate.

I have a thing for stupid over the top action that knows how fucking dumb it's being but doesn't care.

It's like all the best parts of DBZ without any of the bad parts, but with 20x the sense of scale. You start out punching monsters the size of continents, and end off shrugging off stars being thrown at you and fighting reality warpers inside of black holes

If none of what i''ve said excites you or the webm doesn't make you smile at least a little bit, then maybe it's not for you. But if you like shonen, Chinese kung fu movies, toku, or super robo, then the game's for you. .

Just got this running a few days ago on Win10. As long as you install all the patches (+ the one community patch) and use dgVoodoo it works fine.

I wonder how much longer we are gonna be able to run these old PC games without needing a full blown windows emulator. At this point you need a DX wrapper to get a lot of the older games to run right on Win10. Plus if the old game used EAX or anything like that you gotta use a EAX wrapper.

At some point a full blown emulator is gonna be needed for win98 games

No, but you can level your dragon that sends a shoal of fish to bite at your enemies or a geyser that lifts them up and crashes them into the ground. Or something to that effect, it's been a while.

>is there cryptic adventure game like puzzles?

No, but DivOS doesn't have those either.
Actually, I seem to recall you could find some special items that you'd have to figure out how and where to use in Armored Princess.
>>
This is the kind of game that keep my hopes up for the independent scene in general.

Way to not understand shit about vidya.
Heroes is a strategy. KB and Div are both tactical RPGs, where the battles are the main focus and the rest is just filler and hunting for upgrades.

>I hardly finish games.
>Finished both Dark Messiah and Gunman Chronicles before /v/

>>
>>344983219
Except Heroes and KB combat systems are very similar.
Equipment in KB is the same as artifacts in Heroes
Collecting resources and exploration is present in both except Heroes obviously focuses more on town building and is turn based.
Both games were designed by the same guy even.

I wouldn't even consider KB an rpg. It's a tactical combat game.
>>
>>344956884

>>
>>344983745
>I wouldn't even consider KB an rpg. It's a tactical combat game.

And here we arrive at the main point: so is DivOS.
>>
>>344983971
So by that logic, any rpg that has combat in it is not actually an rpg? You can still build different characters in DivOS. Is KOTOR not an rpg either?

I don't get why you so assblasted about DivOS in particular.
>>
>>344984164
>You can still build different characters in DivOS

You can also do that in KB. Or Battlefield.
The game has zero C&C or even dialogue choices, you just click every line until you run out of options, NPCs exist only to expose you to the plot or give you quests or sell you shit.
Come to think of it, KB might have more C&C because I distinctly remember a couple of quests that you could finish in different ways. Or at least arrive at the combat through different dialogue lines.

EA Skate

Most people didn't give it a chance because they're either not into Skateboarding, or sucking Tony Hawks dick. But, this game was so fluid, and so crisp.

It was incredible. The game plays so smooth, it's pretty much all with the analog sticks, flicking, rolling, popping. You would be grinding, and you could move the sticks, and you'd shift the board to a different style grind. It all mattered about how you landed the board, from board slides, to nose grinds, to tailblunt slides.

They had late flips, triple kickflips, 360 shoveits, grab tweaks, full physics and realistic bails. The sound track was great from The White Stripes to Public Enemy. It's a game you can just do the same line a little bit different, over and over again from your check point marker, and not even realize where your hours went.

Gauntlet 4 "quest mode" on genesis is still the best gauntlet game

basically any time you hit a glowing tile that alters the level, that change is permanent, but everything else respawns when you return, including pots, food, keys, monsters, lairs, etc, so you have to approach each level from multiple directions to find all the glowing tiles, usually with more difficult fights

each tower has a gimmick, like tiles that hurt you, or tiles with no friction. you have to find "super secret" items that counter the effect of these tiles or give you abilities like bouncing projectiles

you can level up lots of things, speed, projectile speed, projectile damage, magic, defense etc, as well as buy items that increase them as well

it plays better, and has more elements than modern games of this type

If hyperanimation is your criteria for decent controls, no wonder you think so highly of this jank wet-fish slapfight with the loosest footsies known to man.

No wonder you continually shill this garbage. "Amazing bow mechanics" you sure had time to get acquainted with them, kiting enemies throughout entire fucking levels to fish for headshots.

Dancing like a fucking parkinson's patient, compensating for lag that isn't there in levels that are so great you'll get "Leaving The Mission" messages for straying too far.

For fuck's sake, man, Enclave controls like absolute fucking garbage. Your goddamn shilling made me pull it out again and it's exactly as fucking bad as I remember. Fuck you.
