It's superior to Dark Souls 1 and 2 on PS3 in that it's actually native 720p (DS1 and 2 on PS3 are 576p) but mechanically it's definitely inferior to Bloodborne.

If you can stomach slightly dated (in comparison to BB) mechanics and 720p graphics, then it holds up just fine.
