Where's my dodge roll then? It was practically the most important mechanic in Max Payne 1 but is absent in 3 besides situational shit, and I'm not even sure if that has invincibility. No more jumping either so you feel very limited in how you navigate levels, and hell in 2 you could do cool shit by firing during your jump.

All of the games reward you for using the mechanic. Dead on Arrival enemies are tanky as hell unless you go for a headshot. But it's way more difficult and as a result more satisfying. Plus the fact that you can't always rely on point and click headshots mean that you might actually want to use some more safe weapons like the dual pistols, uzis and the shotgun.

It's not much fun in 2 because unlike 1, you can't run around dodging bullets and mowing everything down without stopping or taking a hit. You have to rely on safe boring strategies like luring enemies out of their hiding spots and shooting everyone the very second they pop up on screen. Or you could play on the easiest difficult and barely even try to avoid damage I guess. I'm curious how a no slowmo/no damage run of Max Payne 3 would look like.
