Is this the game Nintendo ignores the most? It almost feels like they're ashamed of its existance, even though it's considered to be one of the masterworks of the Mario franchise and the daddy of Mario RPGs.

I thought a lot of it had to do with it being by square, and square having a falling out with nintendo for a long time, so they couldn't use any of the SMRPG specific characters like Geno or Mallow in anything until decades later when they made up.
