Fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again.
cautiously optimistic that it could be fun
even if im wrong, its only $60. its not like it changes my life significantly.
I'm betting it's gonna be a decent game to waste some time in. Something worth getting at a steam sale in 1-2 years time.
But it seems to lack any depth.
Will any playthrough be different in any meaningful way from your last, or next, playthrough?
it's gonna be somewhat functional but ultimately gimmicky and boring as hell.
its like minecraft without meeting people and you cant build shit.
I fucking love slow paced exploration/open world games (Grow Home, Truck Sims etc.), I fucking love space, I fucking love anything absurdly large scale and I have a good tolerance for repetition and samey content. I have realistic expectations and with them I'm sure NMS will be something I'll enjoy.

It'll be fine
Not amazing, not terrible. Fine. Your personal preference in games will determine on which side of the average you'll fall on.
