Ren'Py requires coding but it's actually pretty simple if you look up some tutorials. Though I always had trouble getting custom menus and shit to work.
There's also this program called TyranoBuilder that seemed pretty shit at launch but might've gotten better by now.
As far as everything else goes, it's tough to go completely indie when it comes to music and art if you don't have the talent for it. You could always go for minimalistic art, which I've seen work out well for some VNs (the old school Night of the Sickle Weasel comes to mind).

A little late perhaps, but Ren'py is a pretty popular way to get into making visual novels. It's relatively easy since it's targeted to people who might not have prior programming experience. Python itself is also one of the easiest programming languages to learn, so some things that may require coding are intuitive.
In my opinion, music can be an afterthought until the script is written. The importance of art varies with genre, where a romance visual novel would definitely require artistic skills while some other genre may not. Since you have neither skill in both, you will probably outsource this to people who do.
Having made a visual novel in Ren'py before, I think script writing is a huge challenge because it is easy to lose motivation. Implementing uncommon/undesirable game mechanics might give you a bit of trouble as well.

OK I just finished the game, still kind of taking it all in. If Delta was Brother did he really believe in Free The Soul? If not, why are the myrmidons still around in VLR?

IDK if I should be disappointed by the ending. The reveal was fine but I feel like so much was left out about the previous two games. That, and it had the balls to end with another goal for the cast when there likely will never be a sequel.

My biggest question is how did the transported ones gain a consciousness? They're supposed to be just a copied physical body, no one ever shifted into them, right? Plus, they retain all the memories up to the moment of the transportation process. Did their consciousness just get copied as well?
