The story was pretty bland in the first half, mainly because Vaclav was a ridiculously generic villain, but after that it got pretty alright.
The setting and area design is neat and unique.
The party is good for a Tales game.

Because during the PS2 days, Sony of America required most games be 3D to even be considered for localizations. This screwed over gems like Destiny Remake and Rebirth. Also the localization was literally half-assed. The dub voice acting stopped at the halfway point because the ADR legitimately believed the second half of the story was "optional content".
