Issue with Zenyatta is that his low health and no mobility was because his Orbs used to stick indefinitely, allowing him to be a passive support for allied flankers like Tracer who would go it alone behind enemy lines, and to Discord a sniper, enemy flanker or some other high value target and keep track of them.
They massively crippled him by having the orbs break off when losing line of sight. He just needs to get that back.

1 on 1 encounters are her bread and butter against squishier classes. Freeze, then icicle to the head. I try to single out healers or flankers since she is a defense character.
Her ice heal is good for contesting points, but I wouldn't use it in front of others because as soon as you get out of it, you'll get raped.
I mainly use Ice walls for escape, but it can also be used to block some ults like D.va's Phara's and Roadhog's.

1. Ice Wall in the MIDDLE of the enemy team, not in front of them.
Blocking the whole enemy team just allows them to group up and fuck you over. You have to drop that wall right between the lot of them, dividing the enemy. In doing so, your team can gang up on the few separated from the rest of the group and then follow up on hitting the rest once the ice wall breaks down.
2. Hunt down any stragglers, loners and deter flankers. Freeze them, put a shard of ice through their head. While Tracer and Reaper are likely to be able to escape before you kill them, that at least means that they aren't killing your dudes.
3. In the event of a control point brawl, be a nuisance and contest the point for as long as possible by slowing everyone ever so slightly with sweeping frost blasts, Cryo-Freeze for the whole duration and dropping a wall somewhere that will block their primary route into the control point for a few precious seconds. Mei is not going to be effective at singling out, freezing and killing anyone when there is more than one enemy nearby ready to knock her around.
I mostly play Mercy/Lucio. Winston or Zarya if we need a tank. Soldier 76 or Pharah if we need attackers. Reaper if we need a flanker. Torb or Junkrat for defense. Roadhog if we just need a distraction.
If you "main" anyone in Overwatch, you're almost certainly awful, and only good in games where you have an ideal team composition.

No it does not, The Healing stream bending is just a smooth graphical effect, The Mercy player's camera must maintain direct line of sight or else the healing stream breaks after two seconds.

Blatantly wrong. At no time is Mercy invulnerable. She often gets killed one second into her Resurrection animation. The resurrection is nearly instant on the button press and can not be interrupted, but Mercy is still going to be killed nine times out of ten.

And? If there are dead allies, then that means there are very likely living enemies near those corpses. Mercy must fly in at high risk to herself to resurrect several others most of the time.

Do not rely too much on the freeze/icicle combo.
Your primary slows them down, making them an easier target for your M2. Against some opponents or certain team fights, it saves valuable time to not freeze them completely and take them out.
Headshots do 6 bars of health, bodyshots do 3. Add in a punch if you're close enough if they have 7/4. You'll get used to counting them on the fly with practice.
She is far, far, FAR better on control points than payloads. Freeze yourself into a corner, not even junkrat can hit you unless the wall breaks. Then ice block when you lose health, then freeze into the corner again. In a 6v1 situation, or even 3v1, you are not trying to kill the enemy team, you are trying to stall so your team can come back.
In a teamfight, you can freeze a high priority target so its easier for your teammates to finish them off, or so they can't interfere. Then move on without the slow icicle. For example, if you're fighting a Mercy/Soldier combo, freeze Soldier, then move to kill Mercy while an ally finishes off the defenseless DPS.
Don't waste your time trying to kill any tanks by yourself. If they give you chase, freeze them and run. If you're with a team, freeze them and help tank them down. Most Mei's forget that her M1 is not just an M2 enabler.
You can press E a second time to rotate her ice wall. Do this to cross gaps, escape, or block off turrets/bastion's line of fire. Especially Bastion, as he can destroy 1 portion of the ice wall faster than you can shoot an icicle.
Your M1 stacks with your ult. It helps to hold M1 to freeze someone faster than your gun or the ult alone can do. Alternatively, you can use the slow to icicle someone while the others freeze.
For quickplay, I have 10 hours on Roadhog and 6-9 on everyone else. Except Tracer and Hanzo who are like ~16min.

If you're in turret mode and there's no one to shoot, you're doing it wrong. You don't just sit on your ass, you need to be repositioning constantly. If you kill a Widow, Hanzo, or Pharah, switch positions immediately, because you can bet your ass they'll be coming for you when they respawn.
If Roadhog is around, stay so far away that your team is uncomfortable with your distance from the objective.

Why? She is probably the hero with the most survivability. Even if your mech gets destroyed you can jump out and shoot at an easy to hit tank and get another mech. While her Ult does have a long wait time, it can be used really effectively by lobbing it on Payloads or just planting it during KOTH. Her flying ability also gives her really good maneuverability and charges really fast.
I don't know why all this hate but when I play D.Va I usually get at least 25 or 30 eliminations per game and usually a POTG as well.

Also, he's got Widowmaker's ult on a 20 second cooldown, and ridiculous hitboxes
Also, his ult is one of the easiest in the game's to charge, and when combo'd with other hero's ults, namely Zarya, who is quite good at the moment, it is game-changing.
Widow now loses to Hanzo 9 times out of 10 when you need a dedicated sniper. Zenyatta and McCree are the only other heros in the game right now that're sniper-esque, and they're squishy as balls and have loads of other problems.
Hanzo isn't great, but he's the best option currently available in the role he fills.

Pharah can hit the turret from a much greater distance than torb can, and Hanzo can just slip in and out of cover doing as much damage as Junkrat can.
While neither of them shred rein shields as well as junkfuck, at least Pharah can fly over the rein and force him to either A: Get pelted by rockets, or B: Point his shield up so that he can get shredded by the rest of your team.
